Ohio’s Entrepreneurship Leader

Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship, Ohio’s only Center of Excellence in Entrepreneurship — ranked eighth globally — prepares innovators with unmatched expertise. Miami leads in preparing innovators and scaling ventures. Miami alumni-founded ventures added $1.1 billion in income to the Ohio economy — nearly two-thirds of the $1.7 billion added by alumni from all Ohio public universities. Building on this strength, Miami secured more than $18 million in external investment for the Fisher Innovation College@Elm incubator, which advances rural economic development in Butler County, demonstrating that entrepreneurship can thrive in rural areas.
