Sandy earned her Master's degree at Miami in statistics after graduating with a Bachelor's from Mount St. Joseph University in mathematics and business. She worked in industry for fifteen years, most recently as the Vice President of Insights at 84.51°. She has vast experience in driving customer value through industry-leading data science techniques.

Amy Beissel

Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree from Towson University (Maryland) and a Master’s Degree in Education from Canisius College (New York). She has spent over ten years in education, with the past two and a half years at Butler County Educational Service Center as the Data & Monitoring Coordinator. She is experienced in interpreting and using data to make sound decisions as well as leading analytics projects.

Melissa Huddleson 

After two years at Miami's Office of the Controller, Melissa joined CADS as our Administrative Assistant. Melissa is tasked with helping CADS in numerous ways. From coordinating events, engaging with industry executives, professors and students, Melissa is always available and willing to assist anyone in need.

Dr. Allison Jones-Farmer

Van Andel Professor of Business Analytics

Information Systems and Analytics

Dr. Jones-Farmer teaches the business analytics practicum, predictive modeling, and regression analysis. Her research include developing statistical methods to solve real-world problems. Dr. Jones-Farmer has a passion for promoting the sound use of analytical methods in practice.


John Bailer

University Distinguished Professor and Chair

Department of Statistics

Dr. John Bailer is the Chair of the Department of Statistics. As a frequent instructor of data practicum classes, he mentors students on research projects for clients in business, industry, government and academia. His research interest include addressing risk estimation issues and, more generally, on the design and analysis of studies to evaluate factors impacting occupational and environmental health outcomes.

Information Systems and Analytics

Dr. Benamati joined Miami University in 1997 and now is the Chair the Department of Information Systems and Analytics. He teaches a variety of Information Systems courses and brings real IS issues into the classroom to help students become capable providers and consumers of data and information. His research interests include changing technology and its effects on organizations.

Marketing

Dr. Michael McCarthy is the Chair of the Department of Marketing. He teaches in the Highwire Brand Studio and Strategy Works practica as well as the Branding and Integrated Marketing Communications elective. He also teaches the Marketing Management course in Miami's Professional MBA program at the Voice of American Learning Center. His research interests focus on branding and brand equity management.
