My first internship started my love for process control, which led me to get the minor [in Process Control]. The second showed me a lot about how the manufacturing world works. Both internships were great experiences and helped me determine what I wanted for my future career.

Study abroad

My study abroad program in Paris during J-term was amazing. Not only did I complete six credits, but I also got to visit 12 different museums and work on a lot of creative projects. I’ve wanted to go to Paris for my entire life, so I love that I was able to cap off my senior year with that trip.

Undergraduate research and faculty shoutout

Jessica Sparks was my mentor for undergraduate research. She was one of the first women in engineering that I looked up to and paved the path of how I wanted my career path to be.

Why Miami?

Miami was the best option financially for me, and it felt homey while walking on campus. I loved the focus on traditions, the prevalence of Greek life, and that I had the flexibility to change my major if I wanted to.
