About
Miami University's recreation center is a state-of-the-art facility that provides students, faculty, and staff with a diverse range of fitness and wellness opportunities.
Welcome to Miami Recreation Services where our mission is to promote health and wellness to the Miami community & guests through recreational experiences. Miami University (Oxford Campus) students receive a membership to the Rec Center, North Quad, and Clawson recreation facilities as part of their enrollment.
The capacity meter on the Miami Recreation site gives an approximate measure of building occupancy based on the number of users connected to the Rec Sports Center's wifi excluding aquatics. This is not an exact count, but gives a reasonable approximation of how many people are in the fitness center. The current maximum occupancy is set at 175 people, so the meter shows an approximate percent of occupancy based on that number.
Although there are limitations to the accuracy of the data, the meter percentage can offer a reasonable idea of how busy the building is at any given time.
