Miami University is a recognized National Weather Service (NWS) “StormReady University.”
This year, National Weather Service Skywarn Spotter training classes will be held virtually.Training is free and open to anyone. Registration is required through a link on the class schedule.
Spotter training courses are about two hours long and are led by a meteorologist from the regional NWS office in Wilmington, Ohio.
