We hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the summer, and we wanted to take this time to remind the university community of the additional vacation days that were provided in August 2022. At that time, eligible full-time employees received two additional vacation days, and eligible part-time employees received one additional vacation day. These additional vacation days were in appreciation and recognition for Miami’s dedicated staff to support opportunities for rest and self-care. 

The extra vacation days were added to each eligible employee’s vacation leave bank to use and the maximum vacation balance thresholds were increased to ensure the additional vacation days were available. 

Vacation balances will return to their original maximum threshold effective Dec. 31, 2023.
