Richard Campbell, professor emeritus of Journalism, and Sean Scott ’24, among group of journalism professionals launching the Oxford Free Press

Richard Campbell, professor emeritus and founding chair of Media, Journalism, and Film, and a group of journalism professionals are preparing to launch a weekly printed newspaper under the masthead the Oxford Free Press. Campbell was interviewed recently about the project by NPR-WVXU.

"This is still a print town," Campbell said. He and several others are working to get the newspaper up and running. Sean Scott ’24, former editor-in-chief of the Miami Student, will be the paper's founding editor.

Campbell expects the first prototype, a 12-16 page edition, will be out in July.
