The ceremony, held by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, was part of the annual Citizenship and Democracy Week, which this year commemorated the 238th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.
Several events were held on Miami’s campuses throughout the week, including presentations, lectures, forums, and more. Citizenship and Democracy Week events were sponsored by the Menard Family Center for Democracy, the Department of Justice and Community Studies, and a range of campus and community partners.
