The Miami Student earns journalism honors

Anna Reier and Taylor Stumbaugh of the Miami Student attended the 2025 Excellence in Journalism Awards ceremony hosted by the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on Sept. 30. The Miami Student received multiple honors, including Best Student Publication.
The Miami Student earned multiple awards in the 2025 Excellence in Journalism Awards ceremony hosted by the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on Sept. 30.

In the College/University category, the Miami Student received Best Student Publication. Olivia Patel took top honors as Best Student Reporter: Print/Online, while Chloe McKinney and Natalie Luci collected the Best Student Podcast award for their collaboration on “The Israel-Hamas War: Making Space for Difficult Conversations at Miami University.” The podcast was originally produced for the JRN 313 class and later published by the Miami Student.
