Miami campuses closed and classes held remotely Jan. 27
Classes are remote Jan. 27; campus will be closed. Residence halls will remain open; dining halls, Rec Center, Student Health Services, and Armstrong Student Center will open at 10 a.m.
Miami University continues to monitor the weather and road conditions in the wake of the snow storm and extreme cold.
Miami University will hold classes remotely Tuesday, Jan. 27, and campus will be closed. Residence halls will remain open, and dining halls, the Recreation Center, Student Health Services, and Armstrong Student Center will open at 10 a.m.
Essential employees should be in communication with their supervisors regarding their on campus presence Tuesday, Jan. 27. All other staff positions should not come to campus. Managers and supervisors should utilize the university’s remote work policy and shift to remote work as appropriate.
As of now, the Miami Men's Basketball game at 9 p.m. in Millett is scheduled to take place. Those employees that support basketball operations should report as usual for gameday operations.
We are grateful to the emergency and essential personnel who have worked throughout the storm to keep our community safe, our students fed, and our campus operational. We ask that the community continue to support their efforts.
There is a high degree of certainty in the forecast regarding frigid temperatures and winds resulting in dangerous wind chills. Please remember to dress accordingly, limit time outdoors, and be safe.
