Office of Sustainability hosts ‘Climate Action at Work’ Workshop

Miami University’s Office of Sustainability will host an in-person Climate Action at Work workshop from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in 9 Shideler Hall.

The workshop is potentially eligible for 1.5 Job Enrichment Credits (for those eligible with supervisor approval). Register for the workshop in Workday Learn. Please bring a laptop or tablet for this interactive workshop.

Participants can learn and brainstorm ideas about how to incorporate climate action into their jobs. Following a brief introduction to the session and background of climate action at Miami, participants will follow along in an interactive climate action “workbook” in the form of a Google Slide presentation.

The workbook is adapted from Project Drawdown’s Climate@Work digital workshop series. Project Drawdown is an independent nonprofit organization driving science-based climate action.

Workshops goals include strategizing how participants’ jobs can relate to and impact climate change and will help empower participants to take actions and set goals for their personal and departmental sustainability and climate action objectives.
