David Riggs, director of the Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in the Department of Commerce, received $462,983 from the Ohio Development Services Agency, pass-through funds from the Small Business Administration, for a project entitled “Ohio SBDC at Miami Regionals." 

Flagg Taylor, executive director of the Center for Civics, Culture, and Society, and Sharon Custer, senior director of analytics, strategy, and operations in the ASPIRE Office, received $324,347 from the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, with pass-through funds from the U.S. Department of Education, for the project titled "Victims of Communism, Subaward for Liberty Echoes: Global Reverberations of the Declaration of Independence."

Sharon Burkett, sergeant in the Miami University Police Department, received $199,760 from the Ohio Department of Higher Education for a project entitled "Miami University FY26 Campus Security Support Program."

Burkett also received $49,911 from the Ohio Department of Higher Education for a project entitled "2026 Miami University ODHE Campus Student Safety Grant."

John Porchowsky, project manager in the Physical Facilities Department of Planning, Architecture, and Engineering, received $33,402 from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, for the project entitled "Install Airfield Equipment (wind cone) - Construction, Reconstruct Airport Rotating Beacon - Construction."

Mark Krekeler, associate professor of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and of Geology and Environmental Earth Science, received $49,444 from Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP for a project entitled "Expert work regarding Hall v. Johnson & Johnson, et al., Case No. 3:18-cv-01833- ZNQ-TJB (D.N.J.)."

Brian Schultz, professor of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry, received $25,000 from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Foundation for the project titled "TEACh Cincinnati Summer Internships."

Lori Libby, senior project manager for Ohio Public Works in the Institute for the Environment and Sustainability, received $15,000 from the Ohio Public Works Commission for the project "District #10 Administrative Cost Program - NRAC Revitalization."

John Burke, library director and principal librarian at the Gardner-Harvey Library, and Jennifer Hicks, outreach and instruction librarian at the Gardner-Harvey Library,  received $12,275 from the State Library of Ohio, pass-through funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, for a project entitled "Enhancing Community and Campus Learning Through Innovative Technologies."

Mary Ben Bonham, professor, and May Khalife, assistant professor,  Architecture and Interior Design, received $10,000 from the Architecture Research Centers Consortium for the project entitled "Revisiting the Ten Shades of Green: Toward a Contemporary Ecological Architecture Paradigm.”

Cameron Hay-Rollins, professor and chair of Anthropology, and Timothy Greenlee, professor of Marketing, received $10,000 from the Berry Family Foundation for a project entitled "R-silience in Montgomery County."

Vaishali Raval, professor of Psychology, received $6,398 from the Society for Research in Child Development, pass-through funds from the Jacobs Foundation, for a project entitled "Support for a Professional Development Program for Developmental Scientists in the Leverage, Empower, Advance, Research (LEARN) Network in Ghana and Colombia."

Robbyn Abbitt, GIS coordinator and associate of the Geospatial Analysis Center in the Department of Geography, received $4,300 for a project entitled "Mapping Collinsville and Darrtown Cemeteries."
