Miami again named as one of America’s Best Employers for Company Culture

University is ranked in top 100 nationwide, top 10 for Education industry

Miami University is one of the top 100 companies listed in Forbes’ America’s Best Employers for Company Culture 2026.

The university landed at No. 94 overall on the list and is No. 10 for the Education industry. Miami is the top school from Ohio ranked in the Education industry and No. 6 overall among state employers.

This is the second year for both the list and Miami’s inclusion. The university rose several spots from the 2025 version, where the university ranked No. 174 overall and 29th in Education.

Forbes again partnered with Statista, a market research firm, as they surveyed more than 217,000 U.S. employees working for companies with at 1,000 people.

“Our faculty and staff at Miami University strive to provide an exceptional experience that allows our students to grow and thrive,” Miami President Gregory Crawford said. “By fostering a learning environment that is innovative, engaging, and transformative, the Miami community has created a student-centric experience that is truly remarkable.”

Survey participants evaluated their company culture by answering questions centered around fairness, respect, services, initiatives, and more. Three years of responses were collected and used in the scoring system, with recent data carrying the most weight.

Statista also conducted research that evaluated company culture, including best practices and leadership teams. Forbes then compiled the top 600 companies for its 2026 rankings.

With over 3,700 employees, Miami serves more than 20,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students across its Oxford campus, regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, the Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester, and the John E. Dolibois European Center in Luxembourg.
