Miami again named one of LinkedIn’s Top Colleges

Institution is in top 5 for public schools

For a second straight year, Miami University is among the 50 institutions spotlighted by LinkedIn in its Top Colleges in the U.S. list.

LinkedIn ranked Miami at No. 5 among public schools and No. 44 overall in its 2026 Top Colleges edition. A year ago, the university also appeared in LinkedIn’s inaugural rankings.

Miami is the lone school from Ohio on this year’s list.

By using LinkedIn data, the Top Colleges list analyzes career outcomes of alumni and identifies the undergraduate programs that best set alumni up for career success over the long term. The data is not survey or submission-based.

LinkedIn’s Top Colleges utilizes five pillars as part of its methodology: job placement; internships and recruiter demand; career success; network strength; and knowledge breadth.

Eligible colleges must have at least 2,000 total alumni with at least 500 graduating between 2020-2025. LinkedIn ranks U.S.-based, regionally accredited four-year baccalaureate programs that are actively enrolling first-year students.

Earlier this summer, Miami also earned a spot on Money’s 2026 Best Colleges in America list that evaluated schools on 25 metrics, including costs, financial aid, alumni salaries, graduation rates, and more.

Established in 1809, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio, with regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, a learning center in West Chester, and a European study center in Luxembourg.
