Miami community can download RedHawk Safe app for emergency tools, helpful resources
Weather procedures, Mobile BlueLight, more available for students, faculty, staff
As students return to Miami University’s campuses for fall semester, they can utilize all of the university’s mobile safety tools with the RedHawk Safe app.
Weather procedures, the emergency Mobile BlueLight, and the Friendly Walk and Virtual Walkhome features are among the many resources available on RedHawk Safe, which replaced the Rave Guardian app.
RedHawk Safe can be downloaded by Miami students, faculty, and staff, as well as visitors to the university’s campuses.
RedHawk Safe will be continually updated with new features and will be helpful on both a day-to-day basis and during campus events like game days, commencement celebrations, move-in weekend, and more.
The app launched earlier this spring and is available for download from the Apple Store and Google Play.
Services include a safety chat, emergency plans and procedures, campus maps, support resources, and reporting options.
Members of the Miami community will continue to receive RedHawk Alert text messages and emails, and those messages will also come through RedHawk Safe.
