Home opener, TQL Stadium ahead for RedHawk football
Miami faces Holy Cross at Yager Stadium on Sept. 12, followed by Victory Bell game vs. Cincinnati on Sept. 19
September is a busy month for RedHawk football fans.
Miami University’s football team faces Holy Cross in the home opener at 1 p.m. on Sept. 12 at Yager Stadium, followed by a Sept. 19 trip to TQL Stadium to face the University of Cincinnati in the battle for the Victory Bell, the oldest non-conference rivalry in college football.
This will be the first football game played at TQL Stadium, home of FC Cincinnati of Major League Soccer. Jeff Berding, a 1991 graduate of Miami who served as the university’s commencement speaker in 2025, is co-founder and president of FC Cincinnati.
The Victory Bell series is nearly even, with Cincinnati holding a slight 61-60-7 advantage. This year’s game, the last currently scheduled between the rivals, has a 3:30 p.m. kickoff time.
Both that game and the matchup with Holy Cross will be broadcast on ESPN+. Tickets are available for the Holy Cross game.
The RedHawks close their September slate with a Sept. 26 Homecoming clash with the University of Connecticut. That game is also part of the One Miami presented by E&H Ace Hardware festivities.
