Andrew Paluch co-publishes research article in ChemistryOpen

Andrew Paluch, associate professor of Chemical, Paper, and Biomedical Engineering, has co-published an article in ChemistryOpen. The article, “Computational Evaluation of Statin Analogs Targeting HMG-CoA Reductase for Coronary Artery Disease Treatment,” is the result of MS thesis work by Yoshua Mtulo at Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), whom associate professor Paluch co-supervised. The article presents research addressing a key gap by providing a novel computational evaluation of statin analogs. This research was made possible through computational resources provided by the Ohio Supercomputer Center, whose OnDemand platform makes accessing High Performance Computing (HPC) resources via a web browser possible for students like Yoshua in Tanzania.
