Miami University wins 2025 Premier Student Chapter Award from Engineers Without Borders

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) USA has named the Miami University student chapter of Engineers Without Borders the Premier Student Chapter for 2025. According to EWB USA, this student organization is “recognized as a student chapter that sets the standard for excellence in collaboration, fundraising, and global impact.”
Miami University’s student chapter of EWB is active in engineering projects both locally in the Cincinnati and Oxford areas as well as water pipeline projects in Rwanda. This year, they hosted the Great Lakes Regional EWB Conference in Benton Hall, and received a $10,000 award from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
