Biography
…is Assistant Director of the Advanced Inquiry Program and a proud AIP alumni. Before joining Project Dragonfly, Amanda led the interpretation team at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, IL and managed interpretive projects with its partners, including Chimp Haven and Serengeti National Park. Additionally, she served as a director and magazine editor for the National Association for Interpretation (NAI), through which she is a Certified Interpretive Trainer. Amanda has trained with the National Network for Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation (NNOCCI), where she now serves on the board of directors, and is a climate communication coach for NASA and the National Park Service’s Earth to Sky Partnership. Her doctoral research focused on climate change communication in national parks and her academic interests center on storytelling as a catalyst for conservation.
