Staff Sergeant Christopher Key

Biography

SSgt Christopher D. Key is the NCOIC of Administration at AFROTC DET 640, Miami University of Ohio. He is the administrative non-commissioned officer in charge of 38 Air Force Reserve Officer Training Cadets and personnel.  He advises them on all personnel and administrative issues. Furthermore, he assists personnel on other service branch issues within the Detachment. 

Sergeant Key joined the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) in 2018 and shortly left for Basic Military Training in 2019. During his five years in the Air Force Sergeant Key has worked numerous positions ranging from United States Postal Service, Commander’s Support Staff, and Headquarters Executive Administration. Prior to his assignment current assignment Sergeant Key was the Custodian of Postal Effects with the 100^th Force Support Squadron, in the United Kingdom. Responsibilities ranged from: Managing unit stamp/stock levels, Cash for USPS, leading a five-person team, and accurate and on-time dispatching of parcels.

Sergeant Key has deployed in support of Operation JOINT GUARDIAN with North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Kosovo. During this time frame he was the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of administration for the Kosovo Forces Headquarters Chief of Staff. During this time, he redesigned the tasker tracking process for over two thousand achieved tasks, and six hundred active tasks. Preformed security detail for the Kosovo Forces Chief of Staff while on official visits with the Albanian Military’s Director of Staff and routed/corrected tasking orders for current operations.
