Christy Perry-Owens

Budget Specialist

Christy Perry-Owens earned her A.B. in Accounting Technology ('15), B.S. in Liberal Studies ('20), and M.Ed. in Transformative Education ('22) from Miami University.  She joined Miami in 2007 and after working in Psychology and Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, she joined the CAS in 2022 as the Budget Specialist. Christy manages the Dean's Office budgets, maintains the database of all budgetary commitments, and provides analysis of current and projected needs based on historical data, anticipated income, and current outstanding commitments to the Dean. She provides support to all CAS departmental office personnel in matters related to proper procedures, assists in training new staff on budget procedures, and acts as liaison with Purchasing and Accounts Payable on ways to handle special situations as they arise.
