Daniel Cunningham
Biography
Dr. Cunningham is a political philosopher whose work combines political theory, social and economic history, and sociology to explore issues including the relationship between history and theory, historical transformations and contemporary manifestations of political ideology, utopianism, the politics of religion and secularization, and the theoretical specification of modernity. He joined Miami's philosophy faculty in 2024 and previously taught at Old Dominion University and Villanova University, from the latter of which he received his PhD in 2022.
