Jesse Balmer
About
Jesse Balmer is a student intern for the Mallory-Wilson Center for Healthcare Education at Miami University. She is currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology with a Minor in Neuroscience, alongside a Pre-Medical Co-Major. She intends to apply to medical school in the near future. She has experience with both clinical & non-clinical volunteerism, is involved in several extracurriculars including Miami’s Medical Education Development organization, and is an active student-researcher in Speech Pathology & Audiology labs on Miami’s campus.
In addition to this, she shows her passion for community development and peer learning through her involvement with the Scholar Leaders Cohort (’25-’26) and her work as an SI Leader for Cell Biology. Outside of this, she dances and choreographs for the Miami Dance Department and art festivals, such as Blink Arts Festival in Cincinnati. She enjoys assisting fellow Pre-Health & Pre-Medicine undergraduate students to become informed, competitive applicants for their healthcare education upon graduation from Miami University, in addition to introducing students to novel healthcare opportunities
