Joe Squance

Academic Advisor

Joe has served undergraduate students at Miami University for many years as Visiting Faculty in the Department of English, teaching classes in Creative Writing, Literature, and Composition, as well as three semesters at Miami Hamilton, teaching in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Writing. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Creative Writing from Ohio University, he worked in an editorial capacity for several years in various professional publishing companies in Cincinnati, before returning to academia to earn a Master’s degree in English from Miami. He is excited to further support, encourage, and empower Miami’s undergraduates in the role of Academic Advisor. He joined the CAS advising team in December 2024.
