Jon Rutter
Before joining the Miami University faculty in 2011, Rutter taught courses in rhetoric, public address and philosophy to a wide variety of student populations, including prisoners, nurses, and soldiers.
At Miami, he currently teaches STC 135: Principles of Public Speaking, STC 359: Advanced Strategic Writing for PR, Advertising & Marketing and STC 437: Advocacy in Contemporary America.
Rutter is interested in the history of ideas and is committed to the medium of speech. He has published articles in the realm of popular culture, and his academic interests converge at the intersection of rhetoric, culture, and politics.
