Jordan Spayd
Biography
Jordan Spayd is a Narrative Filmmaker whose work challenges traditional ideals of masculinity. Jordan has written and directed several short films and has served as Director of Photography on many independent films, both short and feature-length. His work has screened at film festivals across the United States.

Courses Taught
Currently, Jordan teaches MJF 146 Foundations of Production, a course that serves as the introduction to all Production courses in the department. In the past he has taught classes on Short Film Production, Cinematography, and Screenwriting.
Selected Publications
Jordan's ground and aerial camerawork was recently featured in Andrea Bowers' latest exhibit, Exist, Flourish, Evolve, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland. This exhibit, which focused on the Rights of Nature, highlighted the detrimental effects of factory farms on water pollution in Northwest Ohio.
Work in Progress
Jordan is in Post-Production on his latest short film, First Night Out which he wrote and directed. His other recent directorial work includes the short films Sweaty Hands, and Teatime. He is currently color grading the feature film The Superlatives, directed by Lilian Tanner for which he served as Director of Photography.
