After graduating from Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio, Kaitlyn became a student at Miami University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2014. She began employment as a Social Services Worker at Butler County Children Services and remained there for almost 3 years. She then transitioned into a call center at Humana Pharmacy as a Customer Care Advocate until eventually getting a position within Miami University’s Regionals Admissions office. She changed career paths again and became certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and spent a year providing behavior therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder until eventually realizing that she wanted to return to Miami University. In February of 2022, she accepted a position at the Middletown campus for Miami University’s Regional One Stop where she advised students on their billing, financial aid, and registration related concerns. While working full-time at the Regional One Stop, she continued her education at Miami University where she earned a Master’s of Education in Learning Sciences and Human Development in December of 2024. Kaitlyn joined the CAS advising team in January of 2025.
