Quincy Essinger
Senior Academic Advisor
Quincy is a graduate of Miami University, earning a Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies (Western College Program). After Miami, he pursued nonprofit arts management, taught community college, and served as a martial arts instructor for special needs students in charter schools. Quincy has traveled internationally throughout his life, and first started teaching English overseas through a Miami student program. This experience later translated into four years with The Jet Program, where he taught English to elementary and junior high school students in Japan. Returning to the United States, Quincy earned a M.S.Ed. in College Student Personnel from the University of Dayton, and was the graduate assistant for the Institute of Applied Creativity for Transformation (IACT). Quincy joined the CAS Academic Advising team in 2023, and was promoted to Senior Academic Advisor in 2026.
