Research Interests
Our group focuses on the incorporation of low-valent 4d and 5d metals into metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), gearing these porous materials toward applications in catalysis, gas storage, and separations. We aim to develop derivatives of highly stable MOFs bearing pendant phosphine groups, which are ideal ligands for low-valent metals. Students gain a versatile synthetic skillset in both organic and inorganic chemistry, as well as extensive experience with a broad range of modern instrumentation.
