Bekka Eaton
As a professional actor, Bekka's resumé includes stage, television, and film credits. She began her professional career as a resident company member in Chicago’s famed The Second City. She then enjoyed a long stage career as a performance artist, artistic director, and writer. Bekka also has logged over 2000 hours in recording studios as both a singer and producer.
Bekka directs the theatre program at Miami Hamilton where her emphasis is on new and actor-generated texts. She directed Miami University Hamilton Theatre’s evening of new student plays in a production called Apoconomics Now! and John Patrick Shanley’s Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. On the Oxford Campus, Bekka has directed Hair and The Trojan Women.
In addition to teaching Intro to Theatre and Acting for the Non-Major on the Hamilton Campus, Bekka developed and teaches THE 238: Improvising Through Devising: Creating Theatre through Performance Techniques.
