Janice Murray
Janice Murray has performed throughout North America as soloist, accompanist and chamber player. She is currently a staff pianist at Miami where she plays for student recitals, performances and master classes. She is also the rehearsal pianist for the opera and musical theatre productions and plays for all the musical theatre classes. Formerly a faculty member at Brevard College in North Carolina, she taught piano, class piano and music theory in addition to her collaborative work there. She is currently a member of the artist faculty at the Brevard Music Center Summer Institute where she teaches music theory and accompanies aspiring opera singers in the high school voice program. She received her bachelor's degree in music performance from the Hartt School of Music, working with Raymond Hanson and Anne Koscielny, and her Master of Music at Yale University where she studied with Donald Currier and Claude Frank.
