Biography
Jeanna Vella has been Director of Marketing at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company since 2010, and has been a driving force behind the theater's remarkable growth. Under her thoughtful leadership of all earned revenue, single ticket and subscription sales have more than tripled, and the theater's education and outreach programs have expanded significantly across three states. A leader in data and impact strategy, Jeanna authored an innovative study on empathy improvements in students studying "Romeo and Juliet," which she presented at the 2018 Shakespeare Theater Association Conference. She was also recently asked to present at the 2024 Capacity Interactive Boot Camp held at The Times Center in NYC, speaking about Arts Marketing and Collaboration.
In 2017, Jeanna orchestrated the public unveiling of the brand-new $17.5 million Otto M. Budig Theater, garnering national attention and acclaim. Jeanna's achievements include receiving the WCPO Next Nine Award recognizing rising stars in the arts, being selected for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s C-Change Class #10, and earning nominations for the Ohio Governor’s Awards for the Arts and the Cincinnati Business Courier’s 40 Under 40 Awards. As an adjunct faculty member at Miami University in Oxford, OH, she teaches courses in Arts Management and Marketing, helping to guide the next generation of arts professionals.
