Biography
Dr. Yanan Yue is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Miami University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Iowa State University in 2011, earning a Research Excellence Award. After graduation, he worked at the DOE Industrial Assessment Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before joining the faculty at Wuhan University in China, and then Miami University.
His research interests include interface energy transport, Raman spectroscopy-based characterization, nondestructive coating measurement, thermal property and structural diagnostics in manufacturing, photothermal cancer treatment, and industrial thermal design. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal papers, which have been cited more than 3,000 times. Several of these papers have been featured as cover articles or editor’s picks.
