Biography
Akwasi Adjei Gyimah, Ph.D., earned his Ph.D. in Gerontology from Miami University, following an M.Sc. in Gerontology from the University of Southampton and both a B.Sc. and M.Phil. in Disability Studies. With a robust interdisciplinary foundation, he specializes in the intersectionality of disability and aging, exploring how social, cultural, and structural factors shape the lived experiences of older adults with disabilities. His research has been widely published in leading journals, contributing critical insights to the fields of gerontology, disability studies, and social policy. He is recognized for advancing inclusive frameworks that inform both academic discourse and practical interventions.
