Biography

Amanda serves as the Coordinator of Physical Activity Program and Internships. She is a recent alumni of the Sport Leadership and Management graduate program. Before completing her Masters degree at Miami, Amanda attended Bates College, where she was a double major in Psychology and Gender Sexuality Studies. At Bates, Amanda completed two undergraduate theses in each of her respective majors focusing on women in sport and transgender athletes. At Miami, Amanda’s culminating research project was titled, “Exploring Empowerment Amongst Intercollegiate LGBTQIA2S+ Athletes Through Photovoice Analysis.” Her research was funded by the 2023 NCAA Graduate Student Research Grant.
