Biography
Dr. Kent Ford, PT, DPT, M.S., is a graduate of both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Kinesiology and Health, where he competed as a Varsity Track & Field/ Cross Country Athlete and served as an Undergraduate and Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. His research, under the mentorship of Dr. Randy Claytor and Dr. Ron Cox, pursued the effects of exercise volume and intensity on cognitive performance in elite endurance athletes. He then went on to complete his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (The Ohio State University, 2022), where he served as the class research chair. Since graduation, Kent has served as a Visiting Faculty member to Miami’s Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health. He is currently practicing out of TriHealth in Oxford, OH, as part of the rehabilitation team for Miami Athletics. He is also the owner of his own physical therapy and performance business, Citius Performance Therapy, where he emphasizes rehabilitation for endurance athletes as well as maintaining fitness throughout the lifespan. Kent is passionate about merging rehabilitation with performance through evidence-based practice as well as helping others achieve their goals, both in the clinic and in the classroom.
