Biography
Mr. Vincent Smith is a fourth-year medical student at The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. He earned his B.S. in Kinesiology and Health with a Premedical Studies co-major at Miami, where he also served as Student Body Vice President. After his time at Miami, he completed a Master’s in Human Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. Additionally, while at Miami, Vincent worked in the lab of Kyle Timmerman, Ph.D., which helped to inspire his continued interest in clinical research. His academic and research interests center on cardiovascular health, preventive medicine, and health equity, with work conducted at the NIH and presentations at the American College of Cardiology. During medical school, Vincent has held leadership roles in the Student National Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He is passionate about mentorship, medical education, and community engagement, and plans to pursue residency training in Internal Medicine with aspirations of becoming an Interventional Cardiologist.
