Tiana Washington is a dedicated social worker and the University Partnership Program (UPP) Coordinator at Miami University. With 13 years of direct practice experience at Hamilton County Children Services and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Cincinnati, she brings extensive real world expertise to the classroom. She is proficient in promoting trauma informed care by understanding the deep impact of unpleasant childhood experiences on development. Her expertise includes navigating the difficulties of family reunification and permanency planning, as well as ensuring compliance with child welfare policies and procedures. Tiana is able to equip students with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children and families in the system.
