Biography
Vanessa Sinclair, Ph.D., is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Miami University, teaching in the Counselor Education masters program. She has taught a variety of courses since 2019, including Group Counseling, Family Relations, Diagnosis of Psychopathology, and more. Dr. Sinclair has worked as a licensed professional clinical counselor for over 10 years, predominantly treating children and their families. She has worked in a variety of settings, including partial hospitalization, residential treatment, school-based, outpatient, private practice, and integrative behavioral health. Dr. Sinclair has also been a supervisor of students and dependently licensed clinicians. Her areas of interest include counseling children and youth, parenting intervention, ADHD intervention, social justice advocacy, and trauma-informed care. Dr. Sinclair has presented on a variety of topics, including counseling interventions, advocacy, and trauma-informed care. She has published on the topic of advocacy, with additional manuscripts under review.
