Raymond Manes

Biography

Raymond Manes has worked at MUDEC for 22 years. He was appointed to Executive Director in April 2021, after having served one year as Interim Executive Director of MUDEC. He was the Assistant Dean for Administration at MUDEC from 2002-2020.

Prior to his time at Miami, Raymond was with Prolingua (language school) from 1990-2002 where he worked as a French and Luxembourgish teacher as well as administrative responsibilities including developing teaching materials, marketing, accounting, and HR.

Before Prolingua, he was a French teacher in various Luxembourgish high schools, including the European School, the Ecole Privee Fieldgen, the Athenee de Luxembourg, and the Lycee Michel Rodange from 1986-1990

He attended the Athenee de Luxembourg studying modern languages and did his University studies at the Cours Universitaires (the precursor to the University of Luxembourg) and at the Universite de Metz (France) where he earned his Undergraduate and Masters degrees in modern languages and classic literature.

He and his wife, Jeannine, have two children: Frank (who is a chef) and Tommy (who is working for Amazon in Vienna, Austria).
