Biography
Angela joined the Myaamia Center in 2025 as the Digital Archivist. In this role, she’s helping to build the digital home for the Miami Tribe’s language and cultural material, making it easier to preserve, organize, and share this knowledge for future generations. Angela also serves as the National Breath of Life contact for tribal representatives. She works with individuals and communities who want to begin archiving their materials or need support caring for and improving their existing collections.
Prior to joining the Myaamia Center, Angela’s career largely centered around museums and historical societies. In these positions, she built a thorough working knowledge of digitization standards and processes for historic materials. She also spent time working for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), gaining further experience in the digitization and preservation of contemporary archival records. Angela received her B.A. in History from Fordham University and her M.L.S. from Indiana University Bloomington.
