Caleb Collins

Biography

Caleb Collins, a citizen of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and 2024 graduate of Miami University through the Myaamia Heritage Award Program, joined the Myaamia Center in 2025. 

Growing up in Santa Rosa, California, he was isolated from the Myaamia community. He chose to attend Miami University to reconnect with his heritage. Through the Heritage Program, he strengthened his cultural understanding and reconnected his family to their heritage, too. Now, he seeks to help others do the same. 

At the Myaamia Center, Caleb assists Kara Strass with student affairs, focusing on academic support. His bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering gives him a unique ability to guide students through challenging STEM and writing coursework. Caleb is excited to help Myaamia students succeed, hoping to make a lasting impact on the future of the Myaamia community.
