Chris Corpus
…is a filmmaker and conservation biologist serving as the Director of Conservation at the Dallas Zoo. In Dallas, Chris oversees the zoo’s conservation strategy, with a particular focus on community-based conservation efforts. Outside of the zoo, Chris continues to produce both narrative and documentary films, with an interest in stories that reveal humans’ impact on each other and on the world around them. A proud graduate of the Global Field Program, Chris studied in Belize, the Amazon, and Mongolia. He has trained as a Conservation Planning Facilitator with the IUCN SSC Planning Specialist Group and serves on several committees for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, including the Wildlife Conservation Committee, the Wildlife Trafficking Alliance, and SAFE North American Bison.
