Biography
My name is Tiffany James and I’m from Upstate NY and am now based in Colorado Springs, CO. I've spent over a decade as a zookeeper working with great apes, rhinos, and many other species before shifting my focus to teaching and conservation leadership. I earned my B.S. in Captive Wildlife Care & Education from Unity College in Maine and my M.A.T. from the Project Dragonfly Global Field Program here at Miami University. Alongside teaching, I serve as Chair of the Board for Zoos and Aquariums for a Neurodiverse Ecosystem (ZANE) and as a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Diversity Committee, where I work to promote accessibility, inclusion, and professional growth in the zoological field. I have a love for travel and conservation and am delighted to be back with Project Dragonfly as a faculty member. My goal is to help each student find and develop their own individual strengths as a zoologist, conservationist, educator, and leader.
