Tiffany James is from Upstate New York and is now based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Tiffany spent more than a decade as a zookeeper working with great apes, rhinos, and many other species before shifting her focus to teaching and conservation leadership. Tiffany earned her B.S. in captive wildlife care and education from Unity College in Maine and her M.A.T. from the Project Dragonfly Global Field Program here at Miami University. Alongside teaching, Tiffany serves as chair of the Board for Zoos and Aquariums for a Neurodiverse Ecosystem (ZANE) and as a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Diversity Committee, where she works to promote accessibility, inclusion, and professional growth in the zoological field. Tiffany has a love for travel and conservation and is delighted to be back with Project Dragonfly as a faculty member. Her goal is to help each student find and develop their own individual strengths as a zoologist, conservationist, educator, and leader.
