Biography
Jessica Jedvaj serves the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance as a seasonal Research Associate II on the Community Engagement team. Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts in integrative biology from University of California, Berkeley. She graduated from the Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) with a Master of Arts in Biology from Miami University/Project Dragonfly in affiliation with San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance in 2020.
In her current role with SDZWA, she has regularly facilitated the Human Dimensions of Conservation course for the AIP graduate degree and has also supported the Environmental Stewardship in My Community course. She focused her graduate work on exploring the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health. As a lifelong learner and proud graduate of the AIP in affiliation with the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and with nearly a decade of experience in interpretation, Jessica is perpetually impressed with the ideas and enthusiasm of AIP students. Seeing the excitement and the fresh outlooks from each student keeps her engaged and hopeful for the future.
Jessica also works as the Director of Operations & Associate Partner for The Grether Group in Malibu, California, educating and guiding homebuyers and sellers as they prepare for and complete major financial transactions. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys bird-watching, exploring our magnificent state and national parks, and adventuring with her two extremely beloved Shepherd-mixes, Taz (who loves long walks on the beach - or anywhere there are other dogs) and Ciabatta (who can play fetch for hours and who loves practicing agility).
