Biography
… is an AP Environmental Science & Environmental Science teacher at Cleveland Heights High School, near Cleveland, Ohio. Jim received his bachelor’s degree in environmental studies through Allegheny College. He received his master’s degree as part of the first graduating class of the Global Field Program at Miami University in 2011! For the GFP, he participated in Earth Expeditions courses in Costa Rica, Belize, and Namibia. Jim has also participated in the Earth Expeditions programs in the Amazon, Mongolia, and Borneo. In 2018 he was selected for a Fulbright Award for Teachers for Global Classrooms and collaborated with teachers and taught students in Senegal for 2 weeks. In 2011, he was selected to participate in PolarTREC, an educational research experience in which K-12 teachers engage in polar research, working closely with scientists from Cornell University in Alaska as a pathway to improving science education.
