Biography
Shannen Rivadeneira is a Professional Development Coordinator and doctoral researcher focused on community-based conservation and environmental learning. At the Wildlife Conservation Society, she designs and facilitates programs for educators and graduate students that build confidence in engaging with ecological systems and conservation challenges. Shannen holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from Florida State University and an M.S. in Conservation Biology from University of Central Florida. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England, where her research explores how community-based conservation programs can better integrate local knowledge and support long-term reductions in wildlife trade.
