Ghost kitchens are commercial facilities preparing food exclusively for pickup and delivery. They operate through third-party platforms such as Grubhub, which is currently a leading provider for U.S. college campuses. Through a combination of phone applications, digitally-controlled food storage lockers, and delivery robots, Grubhub can implement contactless food delivery in several locations with few changes to the design. Key phrases in ghost kitchen promotional materials – for both Grubhub itself and Universities with ghost kitchens – are efficient, on-the-go, and innovative.
