Short sleep duration is a growing public health concern associated with numerous adverse health outcomes. Dietary factors, including sugar intake, may contribute to sleep disruption through metabolic and neurological pathways. This study examined the association between total sugar intake and short sleep duration (less than 7 hours per night) among U.S. adults using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2017–2018 (N=4,111). Multivariable logistic regression was conducted using SAS, adjusting for key covariates. Findings contribute to the evidence base linking dietary patterns to sleep health in a nationally representative sample.
