Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating mental disorder associated with increased aggression and anxiety-like behaviors.1,2

Psychedelic compounds such as psilocybin and its analog, norbaeocystin, have demonstrated significant therapeutic potential.3

The objective of this study was to systematically examine the effects of tryptamines psilocybin and norbaeocystin on trauma-induced behaviors with a mouse model.

We hypothesized that both norbaecystin and psilocybin would improve trauma-related disorders. This would be indicated by decreased anxiety-like and aggressive behaviors.
